Summary

Artificial Intelligence undergraduate at Binus University, third semester, working there as a laboratory assistant. I teach practicum classes and write the cases students solve, and I have built systems end to end: Go microservices with a RAG tutor, a self-healing Kubernetes cluster, and the data and machine learning work from my coursework.

Laboratory Assistant

Feb 2026 – Present

Binus University Software Laboratory

  • Instructed and mentored a cohort of 100+ students across 15+ advanced computer science courses, covering Artificial Intelligence (CV, NLP), Data Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Designed practical case studies, hands-on laboratory assignments and curriculum materials that simulate real-world software engineering and data analytics problems.
  • Evaluated technical performance and reviewed student code, giving actionable feedback on programming foundations.
  • Built five systems in TPA 26-1, the assistants' self-development program, across web, desktop, game and network projects.

Projects

ESdemy, online course platform

Go, gRPC, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, Temporal, Docker
  • Built Go microservices in Clean Architecture communicating over gRPC behind NGINX, with per-route rate limiting and selective caching.
  • Implemented a RAG-powered AI tutor in Python that embeds course documents into a vector database so answers come from the material.
  • Streamed video as adaptive HLS in three qualities using two FFmpeg workers orchestrated by Temporal, restricted to paying students.

ComMX, high-availability Kubernetes deployment (team)

  • Deployed a real-time chat app on a six-node Kubernetes cluster (3 control planes, 3 workers) with Cilium and a keepalived floating IP.
  • Provisioned VMs with Terraform and idempotent Ansible roles, and built a GitOps pipeline with security scanning and ArgoCD sync.

NLP recommendation and text mining engine

  • Developed text mining applications with NLTK for tokenization, stemming, POS tagging and Named Entity Recognition.
  • Created a movie recommendation system using n-gram language models and word embeddings via TF-IDF, Word2Vec or GloVe.

Predictive data analytics and BI dashboard

  • Trained and evaluated a Random Forest model with Mutual Information feature selection, and ran statistical analysis with Logistic Regression.
  • Developed Power BI dashboards with explicit DAX measures to answer specific business questions.

Enterprise data engineering pipeline

Pentaho (PDI), MySQL, Power BI, Apache Airflow
  • Built an ETL workflow extracting 500–1000 transaction records into a MySQL database used as a data source.
  • Engineered a data warehouse with Slowly Changing Dimensions (Type 1 and 2) and Change Data Capture for incremental loading.
